Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #137 Tic-Tac-Toe

Hi everyone! I hope you have had a great week so far! The weather has been crazy here in Chicago.  It is not cold, and we have about a foot of snow on the ground.  It doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon!

Before we get to this weeks card, I wanted to share with you that I published a new video over on my YouTube Channel. I hope you will go over and take a look at some of my videos. I would appreciate it if you liked and subscribed as well!

This weeks SIP Challenge is Tic-Tac-Toe.

I decided to go with Flowers, Sequins, and embossing (heat).

The flowers are from Altenew and using Altenew inks.

The background stamp is by MFT.

The embossing powder is from Altenew.

The sequins are just some random sequins that were in my stash!

The card panel was cut out using the MFT Wonky Rectangle die.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks card and I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with this week.  Tic-Tac-Toe is always fun and exciting!

Have a great week!

SIP Challenge #135 All You Need Is Love

Hi Everyone!

This weeks challenge is all about love. All you need is love! All you need is looooovvveeeee cause love is just a game! Moulin Rouge!

This is my card. I am sorry I don’t have more details but this week has been super crazy writing papers for graduate school. I squeezed some time in to get this card completed!

Have a great week and I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #134 Color Sketch

Hi everyone! Well it has been above 35 degrees this week in Chicago so that means we have been able to wear shorts and t-shirts for the last few days. It appears a cold snap will be headed our way soon, so we have our parkas out and ready for it.

This weeks challenge is using the colors coral, pink, and berry.

This week I used Unity Stamp Company January 2018 card kit to make my card. I actually did some masking on this card which is something I rarely do because it makes me nervous. It truly is a trial and error situation with me and sometimes the results get all jacked up! But this card made it through. I decided to go with a different style and make things diagonal.  I think it makes the card look uneven, but I also think it gives it some style.  What do you all think?

I hope you have a great week and can’t wait to see what you develop!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #133 Sketch

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a great week. It was nice to see all your creations from the last challenge and congratulations to the winner!

This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge. I love these because it forces me to use my stamps in a different way than I usually do!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card.  I used an old Stampin’ Up stamp set to make this card. I did some Copic coloring on the pants, the hats, body, and the saws.  The shirts and sentiment were stamped with Stampin Up inks. The background image is an old Concord and 9th background wood stamp which I inked up with some gold Delicata ink.  The strip is a wooden paper from Lawn Fawn but then I took some Momento Brown ink and stamped the wood circles on it as well.

I hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and I look forward to all your creations this week! Have a great one!

SIP #132 Challenge Cake Walk

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great week!  This weeks challenge is all about cake! Who doesn’t love cake? Tell me what your favorite type of cake is in the comments!

Here is my card for the week.

I used a Gina Marie die for the cake, the background of the cake is a mix of alcohol inks that I played around with for the first time.  The purple paper is from MFT. I don’t to know the color! And of course, I used the Wonky Rectangle from MFT to cute the base out with!

I hope you have a great week and I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Emboss It! (Folder, Paste or Heat) SIP Challenge 131

Hello everyone and welcome back! Happy 2018 to you and I hope you had a great holiday! Are you ready to get yourself out of the Christmas card making blues and get yourself into hummmm Valentine’s Day?

Anyway, this weeks challenge is Emboss It! I made two cards for this challenge because I am an overachiever apparently.

Both of these cards are pretty simple.  The mandala stamps are on the actual Neenah Solar White card base.  The feathers are stamped on Neenah Solar White using some Stampin Up colors.  Then I used some Wow Wunderlust heat embossing powder over the feathers for the “sparkle and shine” effect that you can’t see in pictures! The feathers are tied together with gold thread and adhered to the card with some foam tape.

I am excited to see what you all come up with and again Happy New Year!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 130

This weeks challenge is JUST SAY NO TO CHRISTMAS!

OMG, are we sick of making Christmas cards or what? I think I started back in August and I am still working on mine.

I decided to go with a thank you card.

I used the My Favorite Things Sketched Blooms 2 stamp set along with some distressed inks.  I die cute the thanks out and added three layers of white cardstock to the back of it.  Guled all of them together and pieced it back in place.

The grass is hand painted with the distressed inks. Then I added some clear Nuvo Drops on the card (I think I should have left them off.)

Nothing too hard here folks!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with this week!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 129

Wow! What can I say! I have been a busy bee! I have missed making cards for these challenges are this will be my first one back as a team designer! I have been busy being a graduate student while working as well. I never thought having two classes would be this hard!

I hope everyone is doing well!

This weeks card was using the colors: red, green and gold.

And this is my card:

Here I used the Christmas turn about stamp from Concord and 9th. I used the colors red, green and gold embossing.  This is a simple one layer card.  I stamped the sentiment on the round stitched circle, and gold heat embossed that as well. Then I took some gold thread and bunched it up behind the circle and adhered with 3M foam tape.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card and I look forward to seeing your creations!

Keep making stuff happen!

Ricky Goodies & Review

Hi, everyone! was kind enough to send a few goodies my way to review and make a few cards with.  You may have found my blog through my YouTube video featuring some of these products.  If so, welcome! If you have not seen that video, please click HERE, and you will see some of these products in action.

Here are the cards I made using some of these products!

These are the products that sent me for a review! Affiliate links are provided below if you are interested in any of these products.  Affiliate links are used to support this blog and my YouTube channel at no cost to you by clicking them while you shop!

Thinlit Dies

The wafer thin dies are of excellent quality.  I used the Nested Star dies to make my card featured in my video. Using these, I experienced no issues with warping or bending. I will use the Nested Flowers in a different video soon!

Acrylic Block

I am a firm believer that you can never have enough acrylic blocks.  But I also believe they must be of excellent quality.  The acrylic block provided to me is EXCELLENT! It is thick, solid, and has grid lines! It has notches in the sides, so your fingers naturally fit around the block. I have big man hands, and I like blocks this thick because my fingerprints aren’t all over the card while stamping.  These blocks may be a bit bulky for individuals that may have arthritis or other hand sensitivities.

Black Premium Dye Ink

I am also a firm believer that you can never have enough black ink pads.  I think right now in my stash I have about ten different ones.  The ink pad provided by is pretty fantastic, and I would suggest purchasing it.  The ink is solid, and it gave a good crisp impression the first time as you can see in my video.  I will be reaching for this ink in the future.

Adhesive Glue Tape

The adhesive glue tape is good.  I rank it along with others, nothing special about it.  It glides well, and I didn’t experience any clogging or tearing.

All in all the products provided me to me by were of high quality and great value. I have ordered many supplies of my own from them and enjoy their customer service and quick mailing times. I would love to hear what you think about their products and services.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! Please see the links below for these products!
