So I have to be honest, I hate throwing away scrap paper. There always seems to be a use for it. So I rarely through it away.
I had two pieces of card stock I had inked up for some other projects and I also had some paper strips with words that I could not bare to throw away. They sat at my desk for months while I thought of how to use them!
Finally an idea came to me. I used a Hero Arts background stamp to do this. I glued the strips to a 4.25 x 5.5 card stock. I then heat embossed 2 of the backgrounds. One in silver and one in gold. On the two cards with the distressed strips, I just use black ink and stamped them.
On the two with the word strips I used some distressed ink on both cards. Then heat embossed the thanks and the sympathy sentiments.
On the two heat embossed back grounds I cut out the sentiments with silver and gold glitter paper and placed it on the card.
Pretty simple cards to make since the hard part was already done. Never throw away scraps. Just sit on it and think about how you can use them. It will eventually come!
