Hi everyone! Welcome to this weeks challenge. I will be in Seattle next weekend. Hopefully it is a bit warmer than it is here in Chicago! How much do we love being in the teens this week? No bueno!
Anyway here is this weeks challenge:
I chose bakers twine, circular element and red. Lordy lu, I had to think about this one for a bit but this is what I came up with!
There is so much activity on this card. It looks like someone threw up Valentine’s Day. Makes you sick kind of huh? Actually I enjoy this card! It was a little challenging but I made it work. Don’t ask how I got the bakers twine to stay on the card, because it took me about 30 minutes to even do that part. Let’s just say behind the card is a little bit of crazy, and it ain’t the Britney Spears kind, okay.
I hope you enjoy this weeks card! It is probably my most convoluted card yet!
Have a great week and can’t wait to see your creations!
Hello everyone! Welcome to the blog. Chicago has been really warm lately and I have been taking advantage of this! It was almost 60 degrees on Saturday! Warm enough to wear shorts!
Anyway, on to this weeks challenge over at Stamp, Ink, Paper!
Here is this weeks challenge!
And here is my creation!
It’s close to Valentine’s Day so you know what that means! We will be tired of making hearts by first week of February! Guess we should get it in now!
This weeks card used the following supplies”
Neenah 110 Solar White Card Stock as the base.
Hero Arts latest kit release using the heart stamp and the outline stamp. I heat embossed the hard with Princess Gold powder. I used some gold string to place behind the heart.
The sentiment is also from the Hero Arts kit. I used the border die from Lawn Fawn. The striped paper is from some random card stock I had laying around. I placed that on a cream card stock that I purchased from Michaels.
I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card and look forward to seeing what you create!
Have a great week!
Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and your week has started off fantastic.
I will be heading to New Mexico on Thursday. I am excited as I have never been! I am headed to Albuquerque and Santa Fe!
This weeks card challenge is:
Yes, I am a little salty because last weeks Designers Choice would have been prefect for this challenge! I suppose that is why we have these challenges to keep our juices flowing!
Anyway on to my card:
This card was pretty simple. I used the Painted Butterflies set from Altenew and some Altenew inks to stamp it out. I die cut it as well. The sentiment is a mix of Altenew and WPlus9. That is heat embossed with some white embossing powder. I took some foam sheet and placed it behind the black card stock and then centered it onto a Neenah Solar White 110lb card panel. Then I took some 3-D foam tape and placed it on the back of the butterfly. And to top it all off of course I just had to add some Wink of Stella clear on the butterfly.
I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card and I will see you back here in two weeks! I am taking next weeks challenge off!
I often wonder how long some of the people I watch on YouTube have been stamping. I am always in aww of their talents and cards they make.
I myself have only been making cards for a little over a year. I am still gaining experience each time I make a card. I can tell you I am super addicted to stamp sets and inks and my god how many sets of 6×6 paper do I need?
So how long have you been stamping and making cards. What is your card making weakness? Is it paper like myself? Would love to hear more!
Thanks and have a great week!
Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday season! Are you excited as me that we no longer have to make Christmas cards again for about six months? Yeah me too!
I have started making Valentine’s Day cards and that has kept me busy. I am sure you are getting ready as well!
This weeks challenge over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog is:
I love card makers choice because it is easier for me to process what I would like to make. Sometimes set challenges can be well, challenging, which is okay, but my poor little Christmas’d out brain can’t deal today!
Here is my card!
The card base is 110lb Neenah Solar White Card Stock
The black glitter tape was left over from the stash I have and not sure what company it was, but it gave this card the touch of fancy it needed!
The hexagons are from Close To My Heart. I stamped them and used clear embossing powder to make them pop out more. All of those are popped up with 3D foam tape on top of 80 lb Neenah Solar White Card Stock that I ran through a wood grain embossing folder by We R Memory Keepers. I then used the MFT Happy Birthday die for the sentiment.
One thing I did on my break is set up this little area on my storage shelves to take photos. I know you can see the metal shelf, but what do you think? Looks okay? Needs decorations or a backdrop? Hit me up with some suggestions! I would appreciate it!
Have a great week and I look forward to your creations!
