Hello everyone! Wow this week has been super busy here in Chicago. I am in the full works of trying to find a job and it seems like a full time job just doing that. My schedule has been hectic but I found time to play along with the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge this week and it is a sketch! How much do we love a sketch?
I used the Stampin’ Up Eastern Palace suite that came out this week. I actually have a YouTube video making a card that is similar to this, so please make sure you watch it HERE.
Hello everyone. I thought I would share a card I made with pieces from the My Monthly Hero April 2017 card kit that Hero Arts released.
I really like this stamp set because of the details of fashion. In my video which you can watch here, you will see that the only thing I would have liked is to have a male figure as well.
I used a Winnie & Walter stencil on top of some Hero Arts wood grain paper. This paper was cut at 3.75 x 5. I mixed some Faber Castell Glass Bead and Glitter Paste with two new colors from the Tim Holtz Oxide Ink line. Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio. I mixed both colors and layered it on the wood grain paper. I peeled up the stencil and washed it immediately along with the craft mat. If you let it dry on them, it could ruin them.
I then cut some MFT Bubblegum Pink card stock to 4 x 5.25. I placed the stenciled paper on top of the Bubblegum pink paper and propped it up with some fun foam. It was adhered withs some double sided scor tape.
I then used a stitched oval die from Lawn Fawn on some white card stock through the Big Shot machine. Then stamped out the dress and cut that out with the die cutting machine also. The paper from the dress is from some scratch paper I had in my stash.
I then took the pieces of stamps for the legs, head and arms and stamped those on the white oval. Adhered the dress on top of the body parts to form the woman. I then used the mint green ribbon to make a bow. This is always hard with my big man hands.
After everything was put together, I used some Tombow Mono Glue to to adhere the card to the card base cute at 4.25 x 11 inches and folded in half.
I hope you enjoy this card. If you are interested in any of the products used to make this card please see the list of affiliate links below:

Hi everyone! Welcome to this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge. Oy, Tic-Tac-Toe always makes me nervous because I’m never sure if I can complete the challenge. But I persisted and I moved on and did it!
And this is my card for the week:
I went with Pink, “Bunny” and die cut.
This is the easter release from Lawn Fawn last year. This card was pretty simple to make. I used the Zig Water Color Markers to watercolor. It was so simple. Those markers can make watercoloring so easy. I used to be really intimidated by watercoloring, but I have gotten a bit more comfortable. I’m no expert, but when making cards, no one always makes a perfect card all the time. Am I right? The plaid paper is also a Lawn Fawn paper set as well.
I hope you enjoy this weeks card and I can’t wait to see what you have come up with!
The last few weeks have been challenging for my in my personal life. Whoa unemployment can stress a person out. At least I have card making that helps alleviate the pressure from it.
This weeks card challenge with Stamp, Ink, Paper is “Coming Up Flowers”.
Our cards had to have a flower element and I decided to use the new Altenew Layered Camellia.
The panel is white heat embossed on a cool gray card stock and propped it on the dark gray card base with some 3D fun foam. I then stamped out the flower (three parts) and the leaves as well! I heat embossed an Altenew sentiment on vellum and fussy cut that out. That is propped up with some clear 3D foam tap. To add a bit of sparkle I added some clear sequins.
I hope you enjoy this weeks card and can’t wait to see what you have for us this week!
