Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #133 Sketch

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a great week. It was nice to see all your creations from the last challenge and congratulations to the winner!

This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge. I love these because it forces me to use my stamps in a different way than I usually do!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card.  I used an old Stampin’ Up stamp set to make this card. I did some Copic coloring on the pants, the hats, body, and the saws.  The shirts and sentiment were stamped with Stampin Up inks. The background image is an old Concord and 9th background wood stamp which I inked up with some gold Delicata ink.  The strip is a wooden paper from Lawn Fawn but then I took some Momento Brown ink and stamped the wood circles on it as well.

I hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and I look forward to all your creations this week! Have a great one!

SIP #132 Challenge Cake Walk

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great week!  This weeks challenge is all about cake! Who doesn’t love cake? Tell me what your favorite type of cake is in the comments!

Here is my card for the week.

I used a Gina Marie die for the cake, the background of the cake is a mix of alcohol inks that I played around with for the first time.  The purple paper is from MFT. I don’t to know the color! And of course, I used the Wonky Rectangle from MFT to cute the base out with!

I hope you have a great week and I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Emboss It! (Folder, Paste or Heat) SIP Challenge 131

Hello everyone and welcome back! Happy 2018 to you and I hope you had a great holiday! Are you ready to get yourself out of the Christmas card making blues and get yourself into hummmm Valentine’s Day?

Anyway, this weeks challenge is Emboss It! I made two cards for this challenge because I am an overachiever apparently.

Both of these cards are pretty simple.  The mandala stamps are on the actual Neenah Solar White card base.  The feathers are stamped on Neenah Solar White using some Stampin Up colors.  Then I used some Wow Wunderlust heat embossing powder over the feathers for the “sparkle and shine” effect that you can’t see in pictures! The feathers are tied together with gold thread and adhered to the card with some foam tape.

I am excited to see what you all come up with and again Happy New Year!

This weeks challenge is JUST SAY NO TO CHRISTMAS!

OMG, are we sick of making Christmas cards or what? I think I started back in August and I am still working on mine.

I decided to go with a thank you card.

I used the My Favorite Things Sketched Blooms 2 stamp set along with some distressed inks.  I die cute the thanks out and added three layers of white cardstock to the back of it.  Guled all of them together and pieced it back in place.

The grass is hand painted with the distressed inks. Then I added some clear Nuvo Drops on the card (I think I should have left them off.)

Nothing too hard here folks!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with this week!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 129

Wow! What can I say! I have been a busy bee! I have missed making cards for these challenges are this will be my first one back as a team designer! I have been busy being a graduate student while working as well. I never thought having two classes would be this hard!

I hope everyone is doing well!

This weeks card was using the colors: red, green and gold.

And this is my card:

Here I used the Christmas turn about stamp from Concord and 9th. I used the colors red, green and gold embossing.  This is a simple one layer card.  I stamped the sentiment on the round stitched circle, and gold heat embossed that as well. Then I took some gold thread and bunched it up behind the circle and adhered with 3M foam tape.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card and I look forward to seeing your creations!

Keep making stuff happen!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 111.

Hello, everyone! It is nice to be back doing a challenge. I was on vacation in Florida for the last two challenges so couldn’t have fun making cards! The sunshine was great and the time with friends was better!

This weeks challenge was THE BEACH! Where I have been for almost two weeks! What better way to come back!

My card this week is Lawn Fawntastic! All the products are from Lawn Fawn.  I am not going to list the products, but if you have questions, please let me know.  Actually, I may have lied a little, the ocean wave paper is from MFT! Anyway, message me if you have questions about the products I used.

Here is my card!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #108 Fabulous Flowers

Hi, everyone! I hope you have had a great week so far! I will be on my way to Florida this week to spend some quality time with friends and family.  I will miss the crafting room considerably, but it will give me time to think of more ideas!

This weeks challenge is all about flowers!

And this is my card!

I made this card using some scratch pattern paper from my stash along with The Ton’s Anemone set.  I heat embossed it in rose gold embossing powder and then used some distressed ink to water color the flowers and leaves.  Watercoloring is not one of my strong suits, but I have been practicing, and I feel this came out pretty well.  I took a piece of green vellum and heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set of the flowers. I used the Scan N Cut 2 to cut out the flowers and then I propped it up on my card base using some 3M foam tape.

I hope you enjoy this weeks card and I can’t wait to see what you come up with this week!  Happy crafting!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 106

Christmas in July! Can you beleive it, it is almost time to start the holiday cards! This card was hard for me because it it still not really summer here in Chicago and here I am making a Christmas card!

Anywho, here is my card!

I cute a piece of black card stock to 3.5 by 4.75 and placed some of the snowflakes from Simon Says Stamp in the MISTI. I used Versamark ink and used white emobossing powder.  I heat set that and set aside.  I took some random washi tape I had in my stash and ran it alongside the AZ sized card panel using Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock.  I then used a Memory Box die to cut out the sentiment on some halographic paper in my stash and glued that to the black card stock.  The black cardstock was then propped up using some 3M foam tape and placed onto the card panel.

I am excited to see your creations this week!  When will you start making Christmas cards?

Thanks,

Ricky

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 105

Happy summer everyone! I hope your whole week of summer has been great.

This weeks challenge is Summer Fun!

And here is my card!  Nothing says summer like flowers and bees!

The card base, bee, and sentiment were all made with products from Honey Bee Stamps.  The layering background dies are great! I love the sentiment layering die as well! There are so many options you can use for it! The flowers are die cuts from MFT Stamps.

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 104

Hi, everyone! Thanks for stopping by for this week’s challenge.

This week we had to use the colors lime, berry, and indigo with an added metallic accent of choice.

You can watch me make this card over at my YouTube channel HERE!

And this is what I came up with!

I used the Concord & 9th Dotty Turnabout Stamp and used Stampin Up Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, and My Favorite Things Paradise Teal.  I know the color is supposed to be indigo, but this is as close as I could get. Then I took one of the circles from the set and stamped each blue dot.  I used Princess Gold embossing powder from Ranger and heat set it.

I then die cut the word celebrated from some gold mirror card stock and stacked it on two pieces of white card stock.  Then I die cut the word you from the pattern paper I made and backed that with some gold foil mirror paper as well.  I placed some 3M foam tape on the back to lift it off the card. I then pulled some matching card stock to match the background and backed that with some 3M foam tape as well.  I glued the card to a Neenah Solar 110 lb card stock and I was done!
