Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #87

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great week! It got up to 72 degree today in Chicago!  It was amazing! I definitely had to take advantage of the shorts weather while it is here!

This weeks project is all bout kindness.  As fellow card makers I think we know a thing or two about kindness because it is one of the many reasons we do what we do! Just remember that kindness is what makes us great people, and being kind to some of the most unpleasant people does make a difference in this world.

This weeks challenge:

And this is my weeks card:

This week I used The Ton’s Orchid stamp set to make this card.  I layered it with several different purples.  The frame is made with the small Lawn Fawn stitched frame set.  Both of the frames and the flowers are all proper up on 3M foam tape to add some dimension to the card.  Now that I look at this photo, I notice there is no dirt in the flower pot! Whoopsies! The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I added a few crystal sequins to add a bit of sparkle.

This card is a appropriate today as I should be sending it to myself because I myself had surgery! But this beauty will go to someone who needs it more!

I hope you all have a great week and remember to spread kindness!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #86

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend! Welcome to this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge.

Here is this weeks challenge!

And here is my card.  While I know the challenge states peach, all I really had to use was orange.

Here is the card:

It is a CASE card that I took from the My Favorite Things monthly kit from two months ago.  I did a few different things such as using the wonky rectangle die cute and I also ran that panel through an embossing folder to add a little texture.  I then placed it on top of some polka dot paper.  Relatively simple card, but will definitely make someone smile!

Hope you have a great week and I look forward to seeing your creations this week!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #85

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #84

Hi everyone!  Welcome to this weeks challenge.  I will be in Seattle next weekend.  Hopefully it is a bit warmer than it is here in Chicago! How much do we love being in the teens this week?  No bueno!

Anyway here is this weeks challenge:

I chose bakers twine, circular element and red.  Lordy lu, I had to think about this one for a bit but this is what I came up with!

There is so much activity on this card.  It looks like someone threw up Valentine’s Day.  Makes you sick kind of huh?  Actually I enjoy this card! It was a little challenging but I made it work.  Don’t ask how I got the bakers twine to stay on the card, because it took me about 30 minutes to even do that part.  Let’s just say behind the card is a little bit of crazy, and it ain’t the Britney Spears kind, okay.

I hope you enjoy this weeks card! It is probably my most convoluted card yet!

Have a great week and can’t wait to see your creations!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #81

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend and your week has started off fantastic.

I will be heading to New Mexico on Thursday.  I am excited as I have never been! I am headed to Albuquerque and Santa Fe!

This weeks card challenge is:

Yes, I am a little salty because last weeks Designers Choice would have been prefect for this challenge!  I suppose that is why we have these challenges to keep our juices flowing!

Anyway on to my card:

This card was pretty simple.  I used the Painted Butterflies set from Altenew and some Altenew inks to stamp it out.  I die cut it as well.  The sentiment is a mix of Altenew and WPlus9.  That is heat embossed with some white embossing powder.  I took some foam sheet and placed it behind the black card stock and then centered it onto a Neenah Solar White 110lb card panel.  Then I took some 3-D foam tape and placed it on the back of the butterfly.  And to top it all off of course I just had to add some Wink of Stella clear on the butterfly.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card and I will see you back here in two weeks!  I am taking next weeks challenge off!

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #80

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone had a great holiday season!  Are you excited as me that we no longer have to make Christmas cards again for about six months?  Yeah me too!

I have started making Valentine’s Day cards and that has kept me busy.  I am sure you are getting ready as well!

This weeks challenge over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog is:

I love card makers choice because it is easier for me to process what I would like to make.  Sometimes set challenges can be well, challenging, which is okay, but my poor little Christmas’d out brain can’t deal today!

Here is my card!

The card base is 110lb Neenah Solar White Card Stock

The black glitter tape was left over from the stash I have and not sure what company it was, but it gave this card the touch of fancy it needed!

The hexagons are from Close To My Heart.  I stamped them and used clear embossing powder to make them pop out more.  All of those are popped up with 3D foam tape on top of 80 lb Neenah Solar White Card Stock that I ran through a wood grain embossing folder by We R Memory Keepers. I then used the MFT Happy Birthday die for the sentiment.

One thing I did on my break is set up this little area on my storage shelves to take photos.  I know you can see the metal shelf, but what do you think?  Looks okay?  Needs decorations or a backdrop? Hit me up with some suggestions! I would appreciate it!

Have a great week and I look forward to your creations!
