Hi, everyone! I hope you have had a great start to your week. This weeks challenge was a sketch challenge.
I made a clean and simple card using Concord and 9th Lace Leaf stamp set.
I took some orange and pink Brusho and sprinkled it on the base stamp. I also took some Ken Olivers liquid metals in orange and pink and placed that on the stamp as well. I sprayed it down with water, stamped the image and used my heat gun to dry the paper. Afer the paper was dry, I did a second generation of stamping again and dried it again.
I then took the lace leaf portion of the stamp set and covered it with Versamark ink. I then used the Ton’s rose gold embossing powder and heat set it. I then took some black soot distressed ink, mixed it with water and splashed it on with my brush. I placed it on a black card stock and then adhered it to a Neenah Solar White cardstock panel.
I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card and I can’t wait to see what you create this week!
Hi everyone, welcome back this week to another great challenge.
Before I get started on my card, I wanted to announce the winner of my giveaway for last weeks blog entry. Unless I am mistaken, there were only two individuals that posted they came to my YouTube Channel from the blog. So good luck! You have a 50/50 chance of winning!
I wrote the two names on slips of paper, threw them in a bowl & had my dog Ivy choose the person. Whoever was stuck to her nose was the winner. I know, scientific, right?
And the winner is Christine Miller. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Provide me with your address and your new stamp set will be on the way. 🙂
On to this weeks card. This weeks challenge is hard for a lot of people. Making masculine cards can be hard because most of the stamping world provides items that are mostly feminine.
I used some Stampin Up products to make this card. I used the new wood grain designer paper that is available in two different styles. The white for the main card base, and the wood panel for acorns and trim paper. The sentiment acorn (Acorny Thank You) was stamped on brown cardstock using Versamark ink and covered in gold embossing powder. For the tops of the other two acorns, I used brown cardstock, stamped using Versamark and also heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. The bottoms of the two acorns are from the wood panel paper. I inked up the solid acorn image with Versamark & then covered them with clear embossing powder and heat set. It gives the acorns a shiny appearance. I propped all of those up with some 3M foam tape and adhered everything to a Neenah Solar White 110lb card base.
I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card. I can’t wait to see all your ideas!
Have a great week!

Hello, everyone! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Stamp, Ink, Paper celebrated it was the 100th challenge last week, and some blog candy was given away.
Since you’re here, I want to share with you how you can win a chance at a free stamp set from Concord and 9th over on my YouTube Channel. All you have to do is click HERE, subscribe to my channel and leave a comment on any of the videos stating you are from this weeks challenge. I will draw a name at random next Monday.
This weeks challenge was graduation! My card was pretty simple. I took some Doodlebug Design Paper and used a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die to cut it at four by 5.25. I also used one to cut the black cardstock at 4.25 by 5.5. I then used the Tim Holtz accessories to cut out three hats out of MFT silver glitter paper. Then used a Tim Holtz die to cut the word Congrats out of black card stock. I then adhered the pattern paper to the black cardstock and popped up everything else on the card with 3M foam tape.
I hope you enjoy this weeks card! I am looking forward to giving away my first stamp set over on my YouTube Channel!
Praise his light we got to choose our design this week for the challenge. I always like these. I can get a bit more creative. This technique always comes in handy when you have a card that just isn’t finished, but gives you time to think about it.
This weeks card is made of all Stampin Up products. I rarely get to make a card with all Stampin Up products because I don’t have a lot of it. I like to use different product companies on each card, but I challenged myself this week.
This week challenge creation:
The card base is Very Vanilla card stock. The designer paper is from Moroccan Nights. The sentiment is from the dragonfly stamp set. The tassel is from the recently released Eastern Palace Suite. Behind sentiment, you will find ribbon from the Occasions catalog that I ran out of. I had to search Ebay for some of it because I did love it to pieces! The coffee cup is from Starbucks 🙂
I hope you enjoy this weeks card and can’t wait to see your creations. If you would like, I would love to have you subscribe over at my YouTube channel. You can do that by clicking HERE.
Have a great week!
Hello, everyone! I have to say these challenges that are not card related are super challenging for me. This week’s challenge was “packaging.”
I have not made anything outside of envelopes, so I just stuck to a simple envelope. Some of my co-creators, wow, I can’t compete with that!
Here is envelope:
I took some Tim Holtz Oxide Stained Walnut and sponged it around the corners of the envelope. I think took a floral image from Gina K and stamped it in Worn Lipstick Oxide ink. After that dried a bit, I offset the sentiment from the image and stamped it in Stained Walnut as well.
This technique is a very simple way of decorating an envelope for a card.
I hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and I look forward to all your creations!
It is great to be back after two weeks of being on vacation. It was nice down in Mexico and gave me time to relax and enjoy the smaller things in life! Puerto Vallarta is a fantastic place & I would highly recommend going to visit one day. I also started up my own YouTube channel where I will post card tutorials. Please head over to Bromero Cards and subscribe to my channel!
On to this weeks challenge. It is children’s birthday. I have all nephews in my life, so I don’t get to make girly cards for birthdays. Below is my card:
This card was made from a Mama Elephant stamp set. It was too cute not to use. The children, their toys and the balloon I used colored pencils on to color. The balloon is covered in Glossy Accents which can not be seen in the photo. I used the Wonky MFT frame die for the cloud card stock. I used the hillside dies, and grass dies are from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and used white embossing powder and set it with the heating gun.
I hope you enjoy this card and look forward to your creations this week!
Hello everyone! Wow this week has been super busy here in Chicago. I am in the full works of trying to find a job and it seems like a full time job just doing that. My schedule has been hectic but I found time to play along with the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge this week and it is a sketch! How much do we love a sketch?
I used the Stampin’ Up Eastern Palace suite that came out this week. I actually have a YouTube video making a card that is similar to this, so please make sure you watch it HERE.
Hi everyone! Welcome to this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge. Oy, Tic-Tac-Toe always makes me nervous because I’m never sure if I can complete the challenge. But I persisted and I moved on and did it!
And this is my card for the week:
I went with Pink, “Bunny” and die cut.
This is the easter release from Lawn Fawn last year. This card was pretty simple to make. I used the Zig Water Color Markers to watercolor. It was so simple. Those markers can make watercoloring so easy. I used to be really intimidated by watercoloring, but I have gotten a bit more comfortable. I’m no expert, but when making cards, no one always makes a perfect card all the time. Am I right? The plaid paper is also a Lawn Fawn paper set as well.
I hope you enjoy this weeks card and I can’t wait to see what you have come up with!
Hello everyone! Thanks for playing along with this weeks challenge over at Stamp, Ink, Paper!
This weeks challenge is SHAKER CARDS! I am starting to become experienced in these, but I am still learning.
Below is my card. I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Happy Wedding. I used Copic Markers to do all the coloring. This is actually for a friend’s wedding coming up soon! I hope he doesn’t read this blog. Sorry if so! I can’t say this design is my own, I saw a sample over at Pinterest and loved it. I just used different colors and a different background stamp style.
I hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and can’t wait to see what you create!
Have a great week!
Hi there and welcome to this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 88
This weeks challenge was a bit difficult as I only really know how to make cards. I had to reply on some special dies I have from Lawn Fawn. I used the gift card die they offered in their winter release. It is pretty handy and has a variety of great sentiments as you can see below. I also used some MFT dies for the flowers and MFT paper for the card holders! Enjoy this weeks challenge and I look forward to see yours!
